Islay distillery Bruichladdich has unveiled the Port Charlotte MRC01, a limited-edition single malt whisky exclusively produced with Scottish barley. Distilled in 2010, this exceptional dram boasts a remarkable 40PPM peat level, ensuring an intense yet balanced smoky character.

The whisky was meticulously trickle distilled through Bruichladdich's tall, narrow-necked stills, imparting a rich and aromatic spirit. To further enhance its complexity, 50% of the Port Charlotte MRC01 was matured in first-fill casks, contributing notes of vanilla, caramel, and subtle spice.
